Melissa began her Real Estate career in 2005 with Elizabeth Potts Realtors. Prior to entering into the Real Estate profession, she had over 16 years of office management and was the Director of Human Resources for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She obtained her Real Estate Broker’s license in 2011 while working for Hackfeld’s Home & Ranch Real Estate LLC.
Melissa is a past President and Director of the Snyder Board of Realtors and served three years on the Development Corporation of Snyder (DCOS) Executive Board of Directors. She served on the Mesquite Country Emmaus Board of Directors for four years, including one year as the Community Lay Director, and since 2013 is the Director of the Godly Girlfriends Ministry.
Melissa is married to Jim Petty and together they have three children: Jennifer and her husband, Gary, from Colorado City; Jessica and her husband, Adam, from Brenham, and United States Army Major Jordan Dea and his wife, Kristina. Jim and Melissa also have 10 grandchildren, including 3 siblings adopted from the Philippines. Jim works as the Safety and Fleet Manager of CML Exploration, and they are members of Snyder Lions Club and the Word Is Life Deliverance Church in Snyder.
